Sokoto Professionals Network

The Sokoto Professionals Network (SPN) is a voluntary non-parisan, non-sectarian and non-profit Association of Professionals of Sokoto State origin who are working in various fields of sciences, humanities and arts and in different sectors of Nigeria's socio-economy both in the private and public sector.

The SPN's ultimate aim is to set up a special purpose vehicle - a Foundation- that will coordinate and execute laudable programmes and projects to compliment the development efforts of the state.

Strong Collaboration

The SPN will bring together Sokoto professionals with a view to enhance collaboration and cooperation among the members and create a strong platform to collaborate with the State Government and other development agencies (both within Nigeria and abroad) to compliment the various development challenges of our dear state.

One stop information

The SPN will be a one-stop-solution of information on all professionals of Sokoto origin which will help in planning, collaboration and capacity building activities. This mapping of Sokoto professionals will reveal areas of relative strenght and gaps accross the entire spectrum of the socio-economic life of Nigeria that need to be addressed at foundational levels of school enrolment at various levels of the educational system.

Limiteless opportunities

The SPN will be organising Workshops, Seminars, Symposia, etc in collaboration with relevant agencies. Also, the SPN will as the need arises carryout advocacy visits to various stakeholders to explore partnership and collaboration opportunities in confronting the numerous challenges of development in our state.

Career Improvement

The SPN will also be collaborating with relevant government agencies to organise Career Talks in various Schools in order to support the Guidance and Counselling efforts of the schools in moulding and shaping the career choices for our up-coming generation. The SPN will focus on the requirements needed to build a successful career in different fields of human endevour.
